Learning Via Distance Education

With the help of distance learning is now possible to provide high quality education for students who are physically unable to attend courses. This type of training, also called distance learning, correspondence and other modern technologies for the delivery of educational materials.

Students from all over can get an education in this way. One of the first users of distance education at the University of South Africa, began in 1946.

Distance education goes further than the University of South Africa, however. It was really designed Sir Isaac Pitman, in 1840. Pittman, who also invented shorthand, first invented a way to offer courses by mail. In the early 1900′s, the University of Chicago department began taking correspondence courses. In the U.S., most universities have distance learning. You can also find non-profit or nonprofit organizations that offer distance learning.

Distance education has a flaw. It is expensive. Nonetheless, every day there are more opportunities and technologies of distance education more useful. In the future, I am sure that distance learning will be an important component of learning.
